What the Fire Taught Me: Lessons From the Tetons
We all know what it means to train hard.
But not everyone knows what it means to stop performing and start becoming.
That’s what I experienced last week during a trip to the Tetons with Paradigm Vision’s FirePit experience.
It was raw. Quiet. Unfiltered.
A group of men and women sat around a fire and dropped their masks.
We explored deep questions:
What’s the difference between what I think and what I feel?
What’s actually mine, and what have I been carrying for someone else?
What happens when I stop numbing and start listening?
We experienced co-regulation—a state of nervous system safety created not through solitude, but through connection.
We shared stories. Some heartbreaking. Some hopeful.
And we left changed.
Why I'm Telling You This
At Waypoint Training Co., I talk about training for life.
But that’s not just a slogan.
It means lifting heavy things inside and outside the gym.
It means looking inward while we train outward.
You don’t need to fly to Wyoming to begin this process.
You can start now—with a clear conversation, an honest plan, and coaching that’s about more than just reps.
Want to explore what that might look like for you?
I’m currently taking on a few new clients—both in-house and remote—who want to train with a deeper sense of purpose.

We’ll talk about where you’re at, where you want to go, and how we can bridge that gap—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Let’s do something that matters.
Let’s make your next rep count.
